4th of July All Time Party Favs Megamix ---

Hello my brothers and sisters. Thank you for all of your support of the years. I am having more fun with the mixes and I owe that to you. Your positive comments and emails have made this very rewarding. I look forward to the future and bringing you the best music mixes possible.

As you may or may not know I am currently the mixshow dj for 102.5 WIOG here in the Tri City area and servicing the Mid Michigan Area. Please visit www.wiog.com for more information on this great station.

Early this year, I got to mix all weekend with the Memorial Monster over the Labor Day Weekend. Well the promo advertised the all time party favorites in the mix. The first night I had a couple of guests in the Studio and I shared air time. We mainly catered to todays music. The show was good, but I felt it could have been better.

We came back the following night and we opened up the show at 8pm and we deceided to cover 80's music that hour along with the hits of today. That was a huge hit. Our biggest request for that hour was Morris Day and The Time - Jungle Love. The calls were coming in from all different age groups. This you could tell by the voices. We changed era's with every hour.

After the show I was talking to the Music Director and Assistant Program Director and he said that on these occassions I can open up the library and throw in the older stuff that was a huge hit back in the day. That with the nature of Memorial Day and the other big one which was coming up "the 4th of July". So I was looking forward to getting back in the studio for the 4th of July weekend.

Friday night we started slow, mainly because of the callers. The requests that we were getting were not programmable friendly. Finally about 10pm it just got nuts. The calls were coming in left and right. Were talking hits from New Edition, Outkast, Sir Mix A Lot, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, JJ Fadd, Salt-N-Pepa, Kid Rock, Def Leppard and many more.

I tried to cover as many as possible. There were 3 pages full of requests. So after wards, I put together this little segment and called it the All American Party Favs Megamix. I totally love this mix. I split it up into two segments and aired it on Saturday Night. Hopefully you didn't miss it. Unfortunately this mix is the only one that is not free. If you are interested in getting a copy email me at wiogmixshowdj@gmail.com. In the subject please put All American Party Favs Megamix.
